BENDING TUBE (for commercial and industrial applications)
Thanks to our huge capacity in bending tube, stamping and welding, Bourgneuf industries is able to do all types of assembly-line production in small or large volumes. Located in Saint-Honore de Beauce in Quebec, Canada where natural resources are abundant, Bourgneuf is able to get you the materials you need for bending tube quite quickly. Our overall production is done with the help of dies and jigs designed and fabricated in our plant. Having up-to-date technology, our bending machines together with our experienced team permits us to produce a larger variety of tubing items.
In the procedure of bending tube pieces, the inside of the tube wall wants to grow thicker while the outside wall wants to grow thinner. Compression forces act on the inside wall of tubing as it gets shorter, while tension acts on the outer wall as it lengthens. An area called the neutral axis, which divides these areas, shows no change in wall thickness after bending tube pieces.
More complex bending tube techniques require that the pipe be supported by an internal mandrel. The purpose of a mandrel is to keep the pipe from collapsing and wrinkling during the bending process. Ideally, bending tube doesn't require a mandrel but every situation is different as not all tube bending situations are ideal. When faced with such problems as thinner wall tubes materials that are harder to work with, a mandrel for bending tube nicely. It is critical to use the mandrel properly to the outcome of the bend, and prolong the life of the tooling and the bending machine.
